Shady Lady Lighting - Terms of Trade




Prices:
Prices are $NZ and include GST.

Delivery Address details:
Please ensure you enter the address and phone number correctly to avoid delays with your Lighting order.

Freight Charges:
Freight is calculated as a flat $6.50 packaging fee plus 5% of the total order. We calculate the freight once packed and if it works out less than this for your order then we will charge a lower amount.

Rural Delivery (and Waiheke, Chatham and Stewart Island):
Freight is calculated as a flat $11.50 packaging fee plus 7% of the total order.
NOTE: For Larger Parcels the rural freight can vary greatly, and we reserve the right to contact you to advise freighting costs before proceeding.
Due to courier limitations, extra-large boxes (over 0.16 m3 in size) - for example a single box larger than 54cm x 54cm x 55cm can't be sent to a rural address and we will need an alternate address (i.e. a workplace). We will contact you and advise if this is the case with your order
If you want to save freight costs, please consider shipping to a commercial work location.

Important - If your address is rural, please make sure you flag it as "Rural" in the shopping cart because rural deliveries sent as "residential" get re-routed, and this causes extra costs and long delays in delivery.

Pickups from the showroom:
These are of course welcome and freight free. Note: You will need to show indentification when you pick up your order.

Delivery Times:
Parts and small orders are normally dispatched same day or next day depending on what time we receive orders. For any product which is not in-store we will contact you by email with an expected eta.
We use NZ Couriers for A5 and A4 Courier Bags, and Toll for parcels.
Delivery times vary greatly depending on which part of the country you are in, and to some extent the time of the year (Lead up to public holidays are very busy times for courier companies for instance).
Courier bags and small parcels will be left in the letterbox unless other instructions are noted in your order.
Please provide details of where to leave larger goods if no one is home (Consider getting these delivered to your workplace because the freight is cheaper, and delivery is normally quicker).
We are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes sorry.
We require a phone number so courier company can contact you if there are any issues with delivery.

Goods not Arrived? (Unless we have emailed advising delays), Please email us if you don't receive your goods in a reasonable time (ie 1-3 days for Urban delivery and 3-5 days for rural). We will track your order and advise any courier delays.

Payment:
You have the option of paying by Credit Card, Bank deposit or pay on account (Only for commercial customers with a pre-arranged account agreement).
When depositing funds into our bank account please make sure you use the name on the order and the Order ID # when making the payment.

Returns Policy:
Please choose carefully as we can not provide a refund if you have simply changed your mind. A lot of our product is all custom made and / or specially ordered in for you.
If goods are found to be faulty or defective please contact us immediately via email so we can find a remedy in line with our responsibilities under the consumer guarantees act.
Non-fault returns are entirely at our discretion.

Damages:
Please check your fittings on arrival as a lot of our product is fragile, and although we ensure it is perfect before leaving our store, we need to know asap if it does not reach you to perfect condition.
If goods are damaged in transit we will need to know straight away. Email a photo of box and damage.
All claims for damage need to be made as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours after receipt of goods
NOTE - Damages notified after this time will not be covered

Purchasing Lighting Parts and Components:
We describe, photograph and measure these as best we can. When purchasing it is the customers responsibility to ensure they are ordering the correct parts for the job, and their responsibility to ensure all electrical wiring is done to the correct standard by a someone who is competent to do the job.
Most electrical wiring jobs need to be done by a registered person (ie Electrician, Electrical Technician etc.), or at least a competent person, and any advice given on this site is for purchasing information only. The person assembling the parts needs to know what they are doing and is responsible for the work being completed safely and to NZ Standards.

Product Photos:
We endeavour to put accurate photos and sizing on our webpage, but please be aware that colours can vary due to photography limitations, and variations on computer screen settings. All sizes given are nominal and based on information we have.

Suitability:
It is the customers sole responsibility to ensure parts and Light fittings ordered are suitable for their purpose.
Pay particular attention to ceiling height (or lack of it), size of Light fittings, number of lamps (light-bulbs) and whether the house has standard 3-core wiring (some older houses only had 2-core wiring for the lighting, and this will severely limit what product will can be used).

Privacy policy:
Your security is important to us. We will ensure you credit card details and personal information are safe to the best of our ability. We will never sell, trade or give your personal information to anyone except as required by law.
Credit Card details aren't kept or stored by us.
Our website has a current security certificate.
