Are the crystals real or glass?
Yes, these chandeliers mainly use quality crystal rather than glass. The price reflects the quality of the crystal used. One of the ways to identify quality crystal is by the coloured prisms of light that are reflected through the crystal when it catches the light. A glass chandelier will not produce the same coloured reflections.

What happens if a crystal gets broken in transit?
No problem. If a crystal is damaged during transit, let us know and we will help arrange a replacement. We keep spare crystals where possible, and if we don't have the particular crystal in stock, we can usually order replacements from the supplier.

What happens if I need to shorten the chain or lengthen the wire?
The chain and wire can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height. If you need the wire to be longer, let us know before installation and we can rewire the chandelier here for you.

How often does a chandelier need cleaning?
This really depends on your home and how quickly dust builds up. Most chandeliers benefit from a light wipe-down about once a year, with a more thorough clean every couple of years. See our Tips for Cleaning Crystal Chandeliers blog for an easy guide to cleaning and maintaining your chandelier.

Does the chandelier need extra support because of its weight?
Checking that there is sufficient support for the fitting is part of the installation process. Any fittings that are heavier than usual will be noted in the product information. Your electrician or installer can check that the ceiling and fixing point are suitable before installation.
