What type of lampholder do I use with this flex?
Metal lampholders require 3-core flex so the earth connection can be made. With plastic lampholders, the earth wire is not required.

How is the flex supplied?
The flex is sold by the metre and supplied as one continuous length. For example, if you order 3 metres, you will receive one 3-metre piece.

How do I thread it through the cordgrips?
The secret is to wrap a small piece of cellotape tightly around the end of the flex. This helps keep the cloth covering together and makes it easier to slide the flex through the cord grip.

Do I need an electrician to install this flex?
Electrical wiring must comply with New Zealand electrical standards. If you're unsure about the requirements, we recommend having the wiring carried out by a licensed electrician.

Finally, Antique and Vintage restoration to the last yard.

The pleated fabric cord allows vintage equipment restorations to go that elusive last yard. The inside of this 3 core 0.75mm is up to modern contemporary standards while the pleated exterior is just perfect for that final visual restoration. No need for my beautiful 1940's sewing machine and reading-light to be brutalised with date and manufacturer stamped plastic cable that is like gravel to the eyes. It feels great to the touch too, and unfurls without kinks and dinks. The wide range of colour choices allow for that cherry on top detail. Fantastic.
